Sentiment Analysis, also referred to as opinion mining is a type of analysis that determines the stance or emotion of a person concerning a particular issue. It is a very essential analysis that is widely used by eCommerce companies to understand customers’ perceptions of a product or service based on the reviews they write. In this study, two sentiment analysis models that determine whether a review is negative or positive will be built using the Naive Bayes and regularized linear model with stochastic gradient descent (SGD) learning algorithms and the models will be trained on a set of Amazon reviews. The predictive models will be tested with another set of reviews and the model that fits the reviews best will be recommended after evaluation.
