Cardiovascular disease prediction

  • Predict the presence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) by using the data of patients' tests results. The dataset includes 70,000 patient data rows with 12 variables, including age, sex, systolic, and diastolic blood pressure.
  • The target category "Cardio" was equal to 1 when the patient had cardiovascular disease and 0 if the patient was healthy.



  1. People over the age of 55 are more likely to suffer from cardiovascular disease
  2. Smoke and alcohol intake do not affect whether people have cardiovascular disease.
  3. Physical activity does not make people less likely to have cardiovascular disease.
  4. People who have the cardiovascular disease have higher cholesterol and blood glucose level.
  5. Cholesterol, blood pressure (ap_hi and ap_lo, respectively) and age were strongly associated with cardiovascular disease.
